The Kansas 15 have arrived!

19 IG's that were up for auction Saturday, April 5th in KS. They were from a puppy mill. The funds used to rescue 15 of the 19 were raised by caring people in the IG community. 15 IG's will now be free from their lives in puppymills. 15 IG's have been spared the horror of having to mass-produce puppies for the sake of greed. 15 IG's who will never have to spend one more day in a wire cage or fight the elements or be harmed in any way. 15 IG's who will now know the kindness of human hands and the love that humans are capable of.

Getting the dogs out of the mills is only the first step. They need Foster Homes. A place where they can hang their hat, learn how to be housedogs and recover from their previous lives. I have offered to Foster if they can get a couple of them up here to me in Alberta. I would also like to help with some stuff that they may need. These Iggies will need crates, dishes, collars, leashes, toys, food, treats and blankets. If you would like to sponsor a particular Iggie or if you would like to send a care package to the Foster Homes, please let me know and I will get you the appropriate info. It would be great if we could get 15 people to each "sponsor" one of these IG's so they all have what they need. This also helps the Foster Home, so that they don't have to worry about providing all the extra stuff themselves.

I went out and bought about two dozen dog dishes at a warehouse outlet store for 99 cents each. WOO! I recently realized that I've given all but one of them away to either my own Fosters or sent them out to Fosters that I sponsored. I also donated 9 extra crates that I had and wouldn't you know it.... less than a month later, I had two Fosters. So the stuff always comes in handy, you never have too much and even if you do, you can always forward it to another Foster Home.

If you would like to help in any way, please contact me and I will forward the appropriate info to you.
